Do traumatic memories or emotions haunt you? Does it feel like your past won't let you go? Have you been to lots of "talk therapists" but still feel like there's more underneath?
Audrey is great at helping clients untangle thoughts, memories and patterns that block them from moving forward with healing.
She's a Certified EMDR therapist who has a special interest in neurodiversity and dissociation. She also treats conditions related to anxiety, including OCD.

What do you like about being a therapist?
I love to see people light up with new experiences! I also love it when my clients resolve the issues they came in with, and no longer need to see me! It's a thrill to watch people reconnect with their friends, feel confident in their decisions, and live without being haunted by bad memories and anxiety.
What's your therapy style?
I'm collaborative and flexible. I usually tell my clients that there are 5 ways to address one issue, and I want their perspective on which is the right way to move forward.
I'm direct with my feedback and will tell you when I think your brain might be lying to you, but I try not to be mean about it!
I'm certified in a trauma therapy called Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
EMDR is based around the idea that "the brain wants to restore mental health in the same way the rest of the body is physiologically configured to heal when injured."
EMDR helps individuals process and integrate distressing memories, allowing them to move forward with greater resilience and confidence.
Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is an evidence based treatment for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder that helps patients understand (and fix) the faulty reasoning processes that cause people to experience Obsessions and Compulsions.
I-CBT is based around the idea that OCD arises "through a reasoning process that disconnects [you] from reality. ... I-CBT shows how this false doubt arises and teaches you how to return to the direct, trustworthy experience of reality."
If you have been diagnosed or suspect you are autistic, ADHD or AuDHD, you'll fit right in.
I use a neurodiversity affirming lens, helping clients develop ways to feel more at peace with their inner world, sensory triggers, and social situations.
PTSD, mood disorders and anxiety are common in neurodivergent people, so it's important to treat co-occurring mental health conditions in order to improve quality of life.
However, if your primary reason for therapy relates to inattention, hyperactivity, sensory processing concerns or executive functioning, I may refer you to another therapist who specializes in these areas.
I have lots of experience as a therapist for people with diverse gender identities and sexual orientations.
I have been trained in the WPATH Standards of Care (Version 8) and am happy to write gender affirming surgery letters for existing clients as clinically appropriate.
Culture, race, ethnicity, social class, gender, family structure, education, migration and so many other factors impact who we are and how we see the world.
I will never be the expert in anyone else's experience, but I'll do my best to seek consultation so that I can be the best therapist for you!

LGBQIA+ people
People in 12 Step Programs
Autistic, ADHD and AuDHD people
Immigrant, 2nd generation and 3rd culture kids
